Summary: In January of 2005, the entrance to the University of Oregon’s historic Hayward Field underwent a major facelift. Over 700 c.y. of concrete was placed in and around the entrance for a variety of uses. An accelerated work schedule took 6.000 man hours, in 5 months, to finish the project in time for the annual Grand Prix Prefontaine Classic, the premiere track and field meet in the U.S. This renovation was instrumental in bringing back the Summer Olympic trials for 2008.
